Europe 2017: Day #9 A Quiet Day Talking

The quietest day of my trip so far.  No worldcon panels, no business meetings, no commitments, though, quite possibly, a tad too much beer.

The day started, as all the rest have since we arrived in Helsinki, with a visit to the breakfast room to commune with the 8am breakfast club.

Robyn took off sightseeing so I spent the bulk of the morning catching up with email and blog entries. A wander round the con site looking at stuff resulted in finding myself at 12noon sitting in a cafe on the con site talking to Ron Gemmell from the UK while working my way through dark beer.  Over the next three to four hours, Rich Coad, Nick Price, the Harveys, Tony Berry, Renee Sieber, Henry Balen and various others floated past for a chat and a beer.

And that was all I did. Back to the hotel, a quick meal with Andrew, Doug and Robyn and I finished. An excellent day doing, basically, nothing but talking.
