I do seem to go on a bit about the problems and inconveniences we encounter while taking international flights. It's not a matter of hating them, more of just having to endure them.
So much of what happens on these flights - getting to them, the seats, the food, customs, baggage - is all completely out of your control and minor little glitches can start to appear like huge issues because, frankly, you've got nothing much else to think about.
Whatever the major travel writers may say, international travel by air is not so much about the journey as the arrival. That's all you are looking forward to, but, if you can make some story out of the journey to help alleviate the annoyances, then so much the better. If I tend to over-emphasise or embellish then forgive me. You can't let the true experience over-shadow the imagination.
